Before September 11th 2001, it had not occurred to me that a small group of sentient humans could follow a leader, or a cause, so intensely that they could deny all basic humanity and wantonly destroy so many innocent lives. In hindsight I realize that I have been wearing blinders. I'm not sure that I want to see.
